Welcome To
The Official Leeds West Indian Carnival
Website

Thank you to everyone for making Leeds West Indian Carnival 2023, one to remember.

We have had the first Carnival Royalty Show at Leeds Playhouse to a sellout audience.

The J’ouvert morning celebrations and the main carnival parade, the Pop-Up Carnival in conjunction with East Street Arts, were also a huge success.

The Carnival Mural created by Rhian Kempadoo-Millar is now complete and you can find the directions for it HERE.

A launch party to celebrate the official unveiling of the mural will take place at the Leeds West Indian Centre, next to the mural, from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday 28 October 2023.

Join Rhian, East Street Arts and the Leeds West Indian Carnival committee for food, dance, music, and family activities.

  • 🏝️ πŸŽ‰ Although it’s been a bit grey today, the new Reflections of Carnival mural in Chapeltown has brought some vibrancy and colour to Leeds! The work that @rhiankempadoomillar_burokeet @en_kyro & @alanpergy & many others have put in to make this happen has been superb!

This was only possible thanks to the support of project partners Leeds City Council, THE OFFICIAL LEEDS WEST INDIAN CARNIVAL PAGE; project funders Leeds Inspired, Wade's Charity, LEEDS 2023, Inner North East Community Committee, Housing Advisory Panel INE; project sponsors Unity Homes & Enterprise, Connect Housing, Vertu Land Rover, Rushbond PLC, North Brewing Co, Maureens Caribbean Food Leeds and project supporter Move Housing.
