How to get here

The Leeds Carnival Parade regularly attracts over 150,000 spectators. In 2017 over 250,000 people flocked to Leeds for our 50th anniversary! The best way to enjoy your day is to take public transport. Leeds’ extensive transport links will be up and running for the August Bank Holiday weekend as follows;

To Catch Leeds Carnival Parade Start:

  • Head to Potternewton Park on buses to Chapeltown.
  • Head to Roundhay Road to catch the parade once it has left Potternewton Park.

To Enjoy the Leeds Carnival Parade on its Way Back to Potternewton Park:

  • Take the buses to Chapeltown for the parade’s ‘last lap’ before returning to the park.

By Bus

To Chapeltown Road – Nos. 2 , 3, 3A

To Roundhay Road – Nos. 12, 13 and 13A

To Leeds City Station then take bus or taxi to Chapeltown Road for Potternewton Park or Roundhay Road.

To National Express Coach Station next to Leeds City Bus Station then by bus or taxi.
